Drive your rental car, the park is located one mile north of Nativa Resort or 2 miles south of Tarcoles River bridge on the road number # 34.

Tour description:
Come to enjoy a memorable guided tour, hiking through a natural path that meander around amazing ancient trees. Discover the Scarlet Macaws habitat, watch for Monkeys jumping over tree branches, bird watch for beautiful and colorful birds, see iguanas, frogs, Toucans and many more wildlife.
Let your expertise guide teach you about tree names, their history and human uses, name of native plants and their medicinal importance as well as Birds & Mammals natural history.
Great photos will be taken with your digital camera or cell phone, throughout the guide’s Telescope lens.
All our tour guides are certified and have a vast experience on the field, as part of their guide equipment all of them have, Telescope and Binoculars.
This is the only National park in the central pacific of Costa Rica to watch Scarlet Macaws in their Natural Habitat since they were protected and reintroduced to Carara 15 years ago. Because of illegal pouching, Scarlet Macaw population decreased to 50 individuals in the past, now thanks to the recovery programs developed by Carara parks rangers and the universities of Costa Rica and Wisconsin USA we have recovered them to more than 500 individuals.
